Day of Dreams is a designated day for children with special needs, aged 3-12, to experience fair attractions at their own pace, in a more sensory friendly environment, while the fair is closed to the general public. It is the perfect way to help create lifelong memories for those who, otherwise, might not have had the chance!
In partnership with North American Midway Entertainment, the Western Fair is proud to provide Day of Dreams attendees with admission, Kiddyland rides, The Barn, entertainment and lunch, all free of charge!
New this year
Children aged 3 to 12 years of age are welcome to apply.
Families will be able to register up to THREE (3) guests in total, which includes the child who will be participating in Day of Dreams.
There will be no cost for those registered.
Day of Dreams will take place on the last Friday of the Western Fair, Friday, September 12th from 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.
The day’s schedule for the DOD event will look like this:
12:30PM - 1:30PM: Gate opens to receive registered DOD guests. The provided lunch will be available from 12:30PM - 1:30PM.
1PM - 3PM: Families are invited to partake in entertainment, animal barn tours, Kiddyland rides, and more!
3PM: Private DOD event ends, and public gates open to the Western Fair. DOD attendees are welcome to stay and enjoy the fair a bit longer if they choose to do so.All DOD guests are welcome to stay on-site from 3pm on when the fair opens to the general public if they wish, however the event will operate with music, crowds, lights and sounds once the fair opens at 3pm.
Each attendee can bring one support person, and one additional family member. NO exceptions will be made to allow for additional guests.
RULES & REGULATIONS
Only children with special needs, aged 3-12 years inclusive, are eligible to participate.
Each child and guest(s) MUST be pre-registered by Sunday, August 22nd, 2025, with no exceptions.
Each registered attendee will receive their admission tickets via email. Admission tickets will be sent to the email address provided on the registration form and can be printed or shown digitally at the gate to receive admission. We cannot provide access to the DOD event without your admission passes, so please ensure you have received and printed, or stored, on your phone in advance of the event date. Gate staff must scan an individual ticket for each registered attendee.
One parent/guardian must accompany the child and is responsible for managing all their needs.
DOD Applicants (parent/guardian and one child) may register up to 1 (one) additional guest, free of charge for a maximum of 3 people. Example: (child, accompanying adult and 1 guest per family) - Maximum 3 registered attendees, no exceptions.
There are no rain checks. Registration is non-transferable.
Some Kiddyland midway rides that are made available to attendees during Day of Dreams have height, and weight safety guidelines. For larger/older DOD guests who may not meet the safety guidelines of our Kiddyland rides, please keep in mind that at 3pm, you may access the main midway which has many more rides. Follow all posted safety signage and please listen to the instructions given by your ride operator.
Lunch items provided: Hot dog on a bun, bottled water, assortment of fruit.
The gate will be open from 12:30pm - 1:30pm for Day of Dreams. More detailed information will be provided to all registered participants.
