Our Story
Festival Foods, a family business, has been serving up corn dogs at the Western Fair for 50 years! While the look of the stands has changed over the years, our classic corn dog has remained loyal to the original, first served at the Illinois State Fair in 1946. In 2005, the reins were passed down to the next generation, and in 2016, a third and larger stand was added in order to accommodate a wider variety of flavours, as well as offer French fries, poutine, and what has become a new classic, the Corn Dog Poutine. One of our new creations, the Jalapeno & Cheddar Corn Dog with sweet chili sauce, has a steadily growing customer base everywhere we sell it, winning the Western Fair’s Best Bites, Savoury, in 2022. Another of our creations, the Canadian Classic, was featured on Carnival Eats, filming in London in 2016. Festival Foods is proud to have been a part of the Fair for 50 years and looks forward to serving up the classics as well as new and original products for years to come!!
