-
Absolutely. Strollers and small wagons are welcome on the grounds. Just a heads-up: they can't come on the rides with you.
-
We love dogs but unfortunately no. Only certified guide dogs and service animals are permitted on the fairgrounds. Service animals in training are also welcome as long as they are under control and clearly identified at all times. Trust us, your pup will be happier at home than in the crowd.

Our Midway food vendors will have all your favourites from corn dogs to candy floss! We will be releasing more in-depth details soon, complete with a full list of the food vendors!
-
We're always looking for great people to join our team! Visit westernfair.ca/employment to check out open positions and apply online.

Tickets & Pricing
-
General Admission is $15 in advance or $20 at the gate. The Super Pass admission, which includes unlimited rides, is $50 in advance. And here's the best part: kids 10 and under are always free, and adults 65 and over are always free too.
-
Your all-in-one ticket. Fair admission plus unlimited midway rides all day for $50 in advance. If you're planning to hit the midway hard, this is your best bet. Note: the Super Pass is only available in advance, not at the gate.
-
An add-on that lets you skip the queue at midway rides. You need a Super Pass first — it's not available on its own. Perfect for busy weekends when the lines get long.

Advance tickets are non-refundable, but the Fair runs rain or shine so there's no reason not to show up! If plans change, your ticket is still valid for any other day of the 10-day run.
-
They'll land in your inbox right away. Scan the QR code from your phone at the gate, or print it at home. Whatever works for you.

Rides & Midway
-
Pick up ride credits at ticket booths across the midway. Most midway rides are 12 credits and most Kiddyland rides are 10 credits. Or skip the credits entirely and grab a Super Pass for unlimited rides all day.
-
Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.
-
How tall does my child need to be?
It depends on the ride! Most Kiddyland rides need 42" to ride alone, or 36" with an adult. Most midway rides need 48" or more. Full height requirements are listed at westernfair.ca/midway-rides-games. Ride operators measure at the gate and their call is final.
-
Yes. Every rider needs their own ticket or Super Pass, including adults accompanying children.
-
Absolutely. Safety is our top priority. All rides are inspected by our midway provider's safety team, inspectors from the Provincial Technical Standards and Safety Authority, and an independent engineering firm that specializes in ride inspections. This happens before opening day and continues every single day of the Fair.
-
Light rain? The rides keep going. Lightning? Everything pauses until it's safe and then we're right back at it. The Fair runs rain or shine so dress for the weather and come ready to have fun.
-
If you have a heart condition, back or neck issues, are pregnant, or have recently had surgery, please check with your doctor before riding. Many rides involve high speeds, spinning, and sudden drops. When in doubt, chat with the ride operator before you board.
Entertainment & Shows
-
A lot! The Bud Light Music Garden concerts, all grandstand shows, Motor Mayhem, STIHL Timbersports, Aces Flying Pig Races, Aaron Matthews the Illusionist, the Carousel Stage, the Animal Barn, and all general programming are included with your ticket. No surprise charges.
-
Yes, every night of the Fair! The Bud Light Music Garden Stage features local and national artists across all 10 nights. See the full 2026 lineup at westernfair.ca/music-garden.

Happy is the Western Fair's beloved mascot. A big, fuzzy, flower-hatted character who loves hugs, high-fives, and surprise appearances. He's out in the community all summer and all over the Fair in September. Find him at westernfair.ca/where-is-happy
-

The 2026 lineup includes Pigs, Water Buffalo, Standardbred Horse, Canadian Horse, Miniature Ponies, Clydesdales, Beef Cattle, Dairy Cattle, Goats, Llama, Alpacas, Donkeys, Rabbits, and Chickens. Kids absolutely lose it when they see the animals up close.
-
Please do! Always wash up with soap and water after touching any animal, enclosure, or feed. No food or drinks inside the barn. Little ones, seniors, and anyone with a compromised immune system should take extra care.
-
A daily entertainment stage inside the J-AAR Expo Centre lobby with live performances and fun competitions like corn shucking and step-and-fiddle. Free to watch and open to anyone who wants to compete! Find the full schedule at westernfair.ca/carousel-stage.
